Question for Michele
« on: October 08, 2007, 12:05:21 PM »
Just seen the gorgeous pics of Florence, and Fred looks sooo similar, (but MUCH fuzzier....)

Wanted to ask - how do you get Florences domed head so smooth (and the rest of her for that matter!) - her coat looks like silk, whereas Fred looks like a wooly mammoth? I've been using thining scissors on Fred's top bit, but can't get the sleek look florence is sporting! (I'm guessing its not handstripping as she's still little?)

Any advice?

Steely x

:005:  Can't believe i didn't notice that!  I think Florence may be a little out of Fred's league, she looks like a proper lady (and he's a little ruffian)! But wow, he'd think all his Christmases had come at one if he could be her girlfriend!!!  :005: Michele, Fred sends Florence cocker kisses.

We started stripping Whistler at about 5 months the groomer has done it once more and his third strip will be on Nov 2nd. He has a little done at a time becuause he is little and she does not want to upset him. He is looking good and I love the big furry trousers he has now, but it is a slow process.

Wish I could say it was my expert grooming skills  ::) but sadly it's not.
Do you remember the long thread when Florence was poorly
http://www.cockersonline.co.uk/discuss/index.php?topic=31488.0 well I found out recently from another cocker owner who has a similar experience that it is the antibiotics she had that have robbed her of her puppy coat.
So, my answer is I haven't done anything to Florence's head.  :-\

You can tell Fred that Florence is a right hooly at times.  ;)  :-*

I have to reiterate I have done very little trimming on Florence, her head is naturally smooth like that.

This is the link to the pics I posted of Florence
