Wasn't quite sure whether to put this in health or feeding or general.
Louie has always been quite a good dog and both boys go to bed without fuss and have slept through with only rare accidents. However, over the last month Louie is waking most nights and barking. When we come down to him he's all bouncy and although sometimes he does seem to need a wee, I'm not convinced that's why he barks. We don't make eye contact with him, check he's Ok and go back to bed. I've stopped OH giving him a treat to go back to bed.
I did wonder whether he might be waking because he is hungry. He has BARF and I've started to add a bit of Autarkey and bran to bulk out and he is skinny (vet says just right) but he burns off so many calories with his boundless energy on walks. We never stands still, he is always quivering with excitement.
Or is he just being a pain in the bum as a typical teenager can be (he's 15 months). He is not yet neutered but may well be soon. Did wonder whether the bitch next door is similar age to him and they've just got a pup so could be sensing them during the day but not aware of them barking in night to get him going.
Any suggestions? Poor Jasper can't cope with the disturbed nights and neither can we - It's not a huge issue but don't want it getting worse.
