Teeth - or should I say razor sharp scissors - suggestions needed

Never had this with Jock or Fern so could really do with some suggestions

I need to blunt Braan's teeth - that's it in a nut shell  :shades: His teeth go thro anything I throw at him (not literally throw at him )   :-\ he's now just over 8 months old

I am so fed up with having to buy new leads - as he gets hold of them and you see him do it tell him to 'leave' and he does but it's already too late  >:(

Any ideas????? Will he ever stop??? I can't believe he is still teething, he's been the worst dog I've ever had for having scissor teeth (but in 99% of other ways he is a total  :angel: )

He's probably going through his second chewing stage as his adult teeth bed properly into his jaw, this should stop in the next couple of months. There isn't really much you can do to make his teeth less sharp, just teach a good 'leave' command and say it before he manages to grab the lead. A beef knucklebone from the butcher might keep him occupied for a while although my old GSD could actually crunch these up as well and they never seemed to have an effect on her teeth, she had incredibly strong jaws.

Use a chain lead, he won't want to bite it then.  You can buy those ones with a clip at one end that clips to his collar and they usually have a length of chain then a leather handle at the other end.

Don't know how effective this is cause we never did try it.  You could rub a lemon and then put some pepper on the lead?  Our trainer gave us the tip as Sam chewed through 2 leads.

He seemed to loose interested a couple of days after we were told this, so never carried it through.

Someone recommended a chain lead to me but I just spray bitter apple on her normal lead before we go out, she takes one bite and thats enough  :005:
