I've just been googling canine digestive problems and was surprised to read several times, that carrageenan,an extract from red seaweed can cause colitis and gut ulcerations. I had problems recently with feeding JWB, after six months of no problems on it. I have noticed that quite a lot of other COL-ers have changed off it too. One of the ingredients is seaweed. Whether this type contains carrageenan, I do not know, but the advisors at JWB might be able to answer that. For a hypo-allergenic food to contain it, sounds odd to me.
Burns also lists it. Is it in any other proprietary foods?
