Sock eating monster
« on: March 13, 2008, 11:44:48 PM »
Well we're really having a s~~t time at the minute.
Tonight Bella has eaten a sock.
We've had to make her vomit (advice from emergency vet) mustard and vinegar - did the trick.
but it's so awful, i've cried my eyes out - damn stupid cow that i am leaving them lying around - lesson learnt.
She's fine now - been looking at the fridge for some treats!!

Don't beat yourself up  :-*  The main thing is Bella is fine  :D

Braan has eaten half a slipper (someone fell asleep and hadn't put him in his crate  >:( ) My famous wellie boots (I was at work and OH was here supervising  ::) )

so these things happen - but she is fine so be pleased about that and try your hardest to keep things out the way (Hmm easier said than done at times tho  ;) )

Bet she loved you for the mustard and vinegar - not

Don't beat yourself up about it, you'd need eyes in the back of your head to see everything they get into. Alfie ate a load of dark chocolate one day while I was in the shower, I had to make him sick it up too and he was fine. These things happen and she's ok which is the main thing  ;)

Aww thank you, it's my new fave one of him, I've had a beautiful pencil sketch done of it as a surprise too, it's on Sheryl's 'Sketch' thread on the Particolour photo board, it's amazing!  :o

Don't worry about the sock thing - my little darling ate a bright pink thong of mine and pooped it out in the middle of Bellahouston Park in Glasgow.

As others have said these things happen however hard you try to keep things out of their way.  The main thing is your doggie is ok.

You can't watch them 24/7 so don't be so hard on yourself.
I'm glad Bella is no worse off for the experience
