Misty started her 1st season at 12 months, Stevie was about  10 months ( brought in by Misty having hers I think, otherwise it might have been later.)

we go on holiday on the 18th july for 2 weeks and the dogs are booked in at kennels, I just realised that mylee will be 7 and a half mths old then (8mths on our return) and they are booked in to share a kennel as its company for eachother but wilson is entire(he is only 17mths old), do you think it is likely she will come into season while I am away? ... I really need some advice, it upset just to book them into kennels but to think of them not even together makes me feels sad for them! I really dont want to neuter wilson and mylee is too young too  :-\

My advice would be to book Wilson in to be neutered asap. I didn't really want to have Jimmy neutered and intended that he'd stay with my sister for Misty's 1st season and then I'd see how things went and then make a decision about which one got neutered - everything was in place but then it all went pear-shaped ( long story). I quickly got Jimmy castrated but as sod's law would have it Misty came into season on the exact same day of the op - so it had no chance to take effect. It was an absolute nightmare trying to keep them apart - stressful as it was for me, it was nothing compared to what Jimmy went through. I felt really guilty for un-necessarily putting him through such stress - he was like a different dog. One day I took him for a walk on his own, as soon as I let him offlead he raced home across busy London Streets to get to Misty, another day he lost all control of himself and just stood there with wee gushing out onto the carpet - he really didn't understand what was going on and watching him suffer was heartbreaking.  :-\

Roxy was bang on 8 months, wasn't as bad as I was expecting, although she did look at little bit sorry for herself at times and seemed to want to wee a lot more than usual so had to be on the ball about letting her out.  She did keep herself pretty clean though, no permanent damage done to my cream carpets!!

Rosie is having her 1st season at the moment and she is 16 months. She has been bleeding for just over a week now and is still swollen down there. We haven't really taken her out since it started as lots of dogs in our area and i think she is starting to go a bit stir crazy bless her  :luv: Hopefully be over soon

Thanks all for the posting to this.   Just wanted to add that we didn't have to wait long, Indie is now in season and is 7 months so at least we can go on holiday now knowing she won't be in season.   It doesn't seem right though, she's such a tiny puppy herself and is now turning into a lady at such a young age.   :D

PS  Just wondered though, does this mean that shes reached her full size potential - she is still only 7.8 kilos - just got her weighed at the vets.
