2008 Photo Competition Discussion Thread

Colin,
when does the judging start?

I'll email the links to the judges and their agents tomorrow. Not sure how long it will take for the results to come through as I'm sure they have more pressing matters than li'l old us... so it's case of when they have the time... given their generosity in doing this for us it's only fair we give them as much time as possible.

One minute to go and there seems to be a rush of last minute activity, just like last year.  

Yeah, that'll be me and Dave then, realised we hadn't posted many so made a mad dash - the most stressful hour of the week.  I wouldn't care we didn't even get to post the ones we wanted because they would'nt load quick enough.  We really should stop being so lazy and stop leaving everything until the last minute!!

 

Like trying to get all your homework done on the last night of the school holidays eh ?   I can wait a bit longer though, if anyone wants to add more entries - wouldn't want anyone to miss out.

We are so like the kid with the schoolwork, but with every aspect of our lives!!  Thanks for the offer, but as far as we are concerned No, we're fine - wouldn't be fair to others just because we're lazy!!  I couldn't take the stress of finding more pictures - and if we wait longer Dave will insist on putting a one of Cosby looking like Hitler on the stars in your eyes thread!!

As Emmylou has gone offline now I've locked all the threads - maybe Cosby's too busy invading the Sudentland and annexing Poland to enter Star In Their Eyes. 

Good luck everyone - regardless of the results you've all helped contribute to another really successful photo competition. The quality of entry has been absolutely fantastic - Cockers eh, don't you just love em ?

Thanks Clare. I can't deny that it's been quite time consuming but it's also been great fun. Seeing lots of fantastic photos of Cockers, raising money for a good cause and having a great laugh in the raffle/auction threads - well you can't ask for more than that, can you ?

hi everyone  just wanted to say thank you colin and mods for such a great photo competition    .
and to everyone who has entered, we should all feel very proud to have helped raised lots of money for such a great cause, also well done to all who have taken time and effort into doing  the raffles too, some wonderful prizes.

to everyone who has entered photos, we are all winners  regardless of the results, as we all love the breed with a passion, and i think all our  pictures capture our breed perfectley  , all stunning dogs.

just wanted to wish everyone good luck who has entered, the pictures of all our dogs  :luv:are all fantastic .

Yes, my contribution in the 'singed book raffle' certainly amused a few of you   Colin even rang me up during the bedlam of it, he couldn't stop laughing

Colin has done a fantastic job putting this competition together and Jane has contributed an awful lot too so thanks to both

At least John Barrowman has found Nancy now, so that might give him a bit more time

OMG How did you know!!   On a serious note, thanks for the offer and as everyone else has said - great job on the competition, great fun.

p.s.  Boo isn't happy with the idea of a photo competition.  As one of lifes 'fugly' cockers he feels next year we should have a competition based solely on personality as opposed to looks (where it doesn't matter if you can't see your eyes on photos)
