Bobby's weekend diary
« on: June 02, 2008, 11:04:42 PM »
Had a great walk at Ladybower . Mum wouldn't let Dad undo the lead till we got to the wood away from the big, white ,woolly animals. Well guess what, I got round the corner in front of everyone, and there were some more of them, and they ran away from me really fast, and I thought mum was lost and rushed back up the hill to her. She was looking rather pale and strange, but hugged me.
After the next sleep we drove for 3 hours and I looked out the window all the way, lots to see. Marti flaked out as soon as she got in. At Nannys we met 3 friendly cockers and owners on a walk, and one was  a stroppy black one like me! And another one next door to bark at!
Dad was naughty when Mum left him outside a shop....he was daydreaming and dropped Marti's lead, so she rushed into the shop to rescue mum!
Nanny was naughty and moved the human's biscuit tin on the coffee table , so I growled at her to drop-it. Uh-oh, now everyone is telling her not to stare like that, and to turn round! Mum took me out the room and I kissed her loads later, and even Nanny!
Another long sleep, drive (stayed awake), home, then lovely walkies by another muddy lake, yippee, roll in horse poo, Yippee, roll on dead duck mess, wallow in water! And I'm not even tired, but mum looks it, and is wishing dad was back at work!!!
Bobby and Marti xx

You had a good day Bobby!  I can remember my humans acting really strange when I was young - they kept leaping to their feet and turning their backs on me when I did certain things - I soon learned not to do them.

I still like to chase though - but I remember the time I got really lost and felt so scared and alone.  When I found mum she gave me a hug and put me on the neck strap thing - I was so happy to be safe that I didn't pull at all.  Now I still chase but have to keep checking that my humans are where they should be - this isn't helped by the fact that they hide behind trees or bushes - it just makes it harder to keep a check on them - and more often too  :shades:

As for the lovely smelly stuff you can roll in - do it every chance you can - it really gets a reaction and lots of treats to stop it.  Just keep going long enough to get the treats but avoid the human getting hold of you and putting you in the torture chamber 'THE BATH'.

Look forward to giving you more hints ........Ben the  >:D dog X
