Having a second fairly close in age 12 months was less of an issue the first time as Jasper is soo laid back and an

We waitied longer after Louie as he is hyper and it was the right thing to do although we were looking around before.  We were all set to have a worker but decided that the energy level AND Louie's might be too much so number 3 came in as a show type girl. Still mad but managable and they get on really well (contrary to the photos on Rogues gallery  :shades: )

That is it though, no more, no plans to have 1 a year  :shades:

oh well looks like a very long wait for cocker number 2 then  :'(

Barney is such a laid back dog too, we have had other dogs over to play and they have eaten his food, sat in his bed, played with his toys, and he has never growled or got upset, he really is that laid back, but I will take all your advice and walk away from another doglet  :'(

When me and my parents got Morgan at 8 weeks we decided to get another a week later- hence we got Dylan who was 16wks old (M came from a fantastic breeder here in Dorset, and she knew of a friend who wanted to home D as she'd decided not to run him on).  We had, and still have, no problems.  Morgan was top dog (bossy little b**gger >:D), and Dyl was (and still is) quite happy to play second fiddle - unless you have food, in which case Dyl will take your fingers off if you hold the food a little too long  :005:

Now we me and my OH have Henry who is 10mths and we acquired his cousin Katie who is now 22mths.  We've had madam woo woo for four months and they get on really, really well. They play together, steal toys and chewy sticks from each other, we coudln't be happier.  Henry loves his little playmate, and IMHO, I think if you have one dog, then two are not much harder, so long as they get on.

My advice would be that only you know how your little 'un would be around a puppy. I do agree that if you got another boy, then you may get problems if the pup tries to assert himself on your current baby.

Good luck in whatever you decide  :luv:
Mummy loves her angels - but they're not angels all the time - They love to chew and charge about - but mummy doesn't mind
