Restricting water at bed time

Hi

Just wanted to ask a question about restricting drinking water. I have been told that taking my pup's water away at night when he goes to bed will help him go through the night longer not needing a wee. Has anybody done this? and does it harm the dog in any way? :-\

When my dogs are little I  lift the water at 9pm, they go to bed at 10  :blink:
Then in the morning at 6.30 fresh goes down with breakfast :blink:
My little one is 10 months and sleeps with us in the bedroom there is no water there, she is fine until the morning  :luv:
Have done this when they are little for 25 years never a problem  :blink:

Ozzi is 4 months and has never had water through the night as he is in his crate. He goes to bed around 11 and is up about 7 - 7.30. He has fresh water with his breakfast, but doesn't really bother with it -he prefers to drink the water outside :005:

Eric doesn't have water through the night either. I just make sure it is available all day and then lift it at about 9.
Have you posted any pics of Spence? He looks gorgeous from your Avatar and would love to see more of him.
