I have had to give up on the idea of having my new puppy next month. My mum has been very ill and I have been spending more time at the hospital and her house (getting all the mobility aids put in) than at home so I felt it would be asking too much of a new puppy to fit into my life just now. When I had Mail I was in and out of the garden with her every half hour and never left her alone even to go to the shops so I can't imagine how hard it would be to have a puppy with so many other things taking up my time just now. Giving backword to the breeder was one of the hardest things I've had to do but I know that it was the best thing I could do for the puppy.

Maybe when things have calmed down and my time is my own again I will be able to think about having a new brother or sister for Mali again but for now, it was not to be

Im sorry for you - but you should be proud of yourself for doing the right thing by the puppy as opposed to yourself.

That's such a shame but incredibly responsible of you. When you have your life back and get a little'un you'll be so glad you made this decision. You'll just have to get extra cocker cuddles from Mali in the meantime!! Best wishes to your mum too, she must really appreciate all your help.

Its a brave but sensible decision. you'll enjoy your pup so much more if you are in a better posiiton to care for it and play with it.  All the best for your mum. x

So sorry for you but you really are doing the right thing! It would be so much more stressful if you and everyone concerned if you took on a puppy whilst you're pulled in so many ways.

You are doing the right thing although I am sure that is no consolation to you just now.  It was a very brave and selfless decision to make.  You and the puppy will benefit from waiting until you have the time to devote to him/her.  Hope your Mum gets to feeling well again real soon

Sending you a huge hug.  That must have been an unbelieveablely hard decision to make and an even harder call to make. You sound like a lovely selfless person who has put the needs of the pup first. Apart from the puppy situation I really hope things get easier for you all round - sounds like you are going through the mill.

i know how you feel i had saved hard for my 'puppy' fund only for things to break down family wise and had to use the money to sort me and connor out. i was devasted telling the breeder as it made it offical.

the will be another time which will be better in the long run for both of you
