Most of the swelling is actually a build up of blood, which is slowly coming down by either being absorbed back into her body or down her nose :o (thankfully she hasn't shaken her head). She's back dancing for her breakfast again - so is Wilf and thank goodness I didn't have my boots on or it would be the breakfast morris dancing duo.

Not brilliant news on Ed - he's recovered his op really well considering they removed more muscle in this last op - but they only managed a narrow margin because they couldn't go any further (spine) even though they had a generous margin laterally - in his 1st op they only had narrow margins as well but in 12 weeks the tumur regrew. Fingers crossed we're lucky this time but sadly this type of cancer is well known for its aggressiveness.

Oh bless her.  :luv:  :luv:

It brings tears to my eyes thinking what she is going through - it is so unfair.

Her eye does look a lot better.

Is your jingling bell working? And is Wilf helping his sister.

Please give her a gentle squish from me  :-*  :-*

That did look very swollen and sore. I am glad it's going down bit by bit.

Gentle squishy hugs for the dear beauty.

I find it very humbling to read this thread. I'm pleased to see the swelling has gone down a bit, I hope it won't be long before Ruby is feeling much better and I also hope she adjusts well to her new way of life.

You're a fab mummy Penny. :bigarmhug:

Just let her offlead a little on the park - huge playing field bit - and she loved it - I even managed to get her to go look for a ball I'd thrown (as long as I held on to meany Wilf of course who kept nicking it off her plus he kept rushing her like he always does which she was a bit unsure of)

Still a way to go really as she was weird over her food bowl later and couldn't find it even though she'd just had her nose in it - mind you her face must ache anyway and feel quite funny

It just must take some time to get use to it.  Our first cocker had very bad sight, so we just made sure things like furniture wasn't moved about and the coffee table was taken away so the wall of death of an evening could still continue without incident  :shades:

Like others have already said Penny, you are an  to them all

Oh poor, poor Ruby  :'(  :luv:

I think I may have to PM you Penny....... Tinker should be having the same op in Sept. We're 'opting' to have it done when she's spayed (it has to be done sometime & thought this the best way to avoid another GA) but after seeing the pics. of little Ruby I'm horrified to say the least   :o   (I shouldn't of looked  ph34r )  I don't know if I could cope?.....you must be so strong ( but I realise you didn't have any other option )

Big, tender love & hugs for Ruby & for you  :luv: :luv:

If your dog thinks you're the best.....don't seek a second opinion!!
