Storage bins
« on: June 22, 2009, 12:38:50 PM »
I am looking for a storage bin to store my 15kg bag of dried dog food. Can anyone recommend how they store theirs...i would prefer to be able to have room to put the bag of food in rather than pouring the biscuits into it so if you can recommend what size would do this that would be appreciated. The bin will only need to be in the garage so dont need anything too pretty just something that will keep the food fresh

I got a Rubbermaid scoopnstore storage bin in large. Easily holds a 15kg bag.

Got it from.

www.feedem.co.uk

Just looked they don't have them anymore.

Google rubbermaid others should have them.

Or you could use a plastic dustbin,  would think BQ would have them. They seem pretty air tight. Will take up more space though.

depends on how well sealed you want it, i use some large wilkinson bins

http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/Plastic-Storage/Flip-Lid-Large-Storage-Box/invt/0225613

one holds a 15kg bag easy, tho not very dog-proof. Mine are in the garage tho, so shut away from hungry noses

I have one of those B/Q storage bins on wheels with double sided lid, this is handier for me cos i can store Smudge's food in the bottom one and have room to put a container with Katie's biscuit on top without having to lift it off to get to Smudge's food Downside is tho that I have to empty contents of Smudge's bag into container.
Remembering Smudge 23/11/2006 - 3/8/2013, Branston 30/8/14 - 28/10/22, and Minstrel 24/6/13 - 13/8/24 all now at the Bridge.

Think they still do them - recall seeing them the last time I was there.

Rubbermaids are still available at PAH
People laugh at me because I'm different, but I laugh at them because they are all the same.
