Putting weight on
« on: June 24, 2009, 09:57:28 PM »
Can any one tell me what the best food is for putting weight on. Ollie is 18 months old and too skinny, the vet said he could do with putting some weight on. Our other cocker actually needs to lose weight but we are managing that. Ollie is fed on James Wellbeloved and I have increased this too quite a bit more than I feed Buster. Wish I had the problem of needing to put weight on.

ooo wish I had that problem too  :005:

I fed Fern some raw tripe to bulk her up a bit as she was always too thin, Braan was the same

(if you are going to feed tripe then can I suggest you feed outside - I couldn't stand the smell of it, but it did the trick)

Don't mean to sound thick but where can I get tripe from. I have heard of people eating tripe and onions but I don't think I'll try some myself.

You can buy frozen minced tripe in Pets at Home, it's easier and less smelly than buying the fresh stuff.

Go to your local Butchers he will have some.
