I just want to say that Violet is the easiest, calmest cocker I've had in my entire life

I've had cockers that were bought from breeders as baby puppies, another one that I bought at 6 months of age and 2 previous rescue dogs. They all had their own little quirks, and I loved all of them.
But Violet is just so calm and quiet, it's unbelievable.
We've been out today to a "Pop in the Park" event in a local country park. It was very hot and there were thousands of people and lots of dogs. Violet just took it all in her stride, she met an English Bull Terrier and a 1 year old loopy Springer, as well as various other random dogs, and she behaved impeccably

.
So, anyone thinking of getting a rescue cocker but feeling a bit put off by the baggage that some of them come with, don't worry, they are not all fruit loops, sometimes, a calm one does come along

Edited to add, in view of the thread below about solid cockers, Violet is solid black
