Anyone use Hills - here's an offer for you
« on: July 16, 2009, 02:49:32 PM »
Hi guys

I've just been in P@H to get some puppy food in - pup is on Hills at mo

So I looked at the 3kg bag at £15 + and went to look at toys etc and turned round and saw 1kg bags of Hills as a trial bag (only 3 x 1kg per customer) which were £1.99 each so 3 x 1kg bags = £5.98  :o

Guess what i did  yep put the 3kg bag back and got 3 x 1kg bags instead  :005:

They have adult and sensitive - so if you are using Hill worth looking at but remember only 3 x 1kg bags per customer (drat i left OH and the kids at home  :shades: )

I don't think they'd remember you if you went in again later in disguise. :D

That's a good bargain.

I've never used this food before, but that is the food the breeder is using for my new puppy, but I'd be buying food for a pup that isn't even here yet!
I suppose I could put it with the collar, bed and new bowls though  :005:

I get her in 10 days
Half the time I'm counting down the days, the other half I'm wondering what I've left myself in for  :005:
We are going through to Edinburgh for another visit at the weekend, I hope to get a few pictures then  :luv:

Make sure you do get plenty of pics! :D

You'll love having your new pup, I love every minute of having Duggie around, even getting up during the night to go outside! :005:

I'm sure your new puppy will help to start your healing process. :luv:

I went to p@h today to get some Hills for Barney and some for our new puppy (10 sleeps till we can bring him home  :D)when I did the same as you and saw the 1kg trial packs for £1.99.  I usually buy the 15kg bag for Barney at £49.99 but noticed they had changed the packaging so wasn't sure which one to get.  Thought I'd get the trial pack to see if it was the right one, so picked up one for Barney and one for puppy.  Wasn't until I was stuck in a traffic on the way home that I clicked about the price.  I will definately be going back tommorrow to get some more.

I did the same as you and I didn't recongnise the packaging.  I asked a shop assistant and he said basically it was in front of my face, but he also said loads of people have been confused by the new packaging.

Caroline - do you want me to go to Stirling PAH and get you some more to bring up with me next week along with the grown up doggy food? Will be near there tomorrow as going to B&Q for some paint as our white emulsion has turned lilac in the garage

OK will text you if not obvious what I should be buying when I get there!

As for paint, I suspect that it was a LARGE white tub which at some point we have added purple to make lilac (kids rooms both lilac at some point) but we didn't relabel it  ph34r

thanks for sharing this.  i have been and bought some today, OH will go in several PAH over the next week and collect more as he is on the road.  Bargain - it is usually quite expensive but my two are doing exceptionally well on it so i don't mind paying.  Tried a trial size JWB and Kelly wouldnt touch it - what a surprise!

Glad it has helped you

i couldn't believe it when I saw it

A normal 3 kg bag £15 plus and then 3 X 1 Kg bags (trial packs) at £1.99 each just had to share as what a saving  :D
