Oh gosh poor Bella I so hope she feels better soon, reading this has put doubts in my mind of whether I should have Jasmine done or not. However I guess weighing it up a week of feeling unwell is probably better than the 6 weeks per year she is very very miserable and out of sorts when in season.
It must be horrible for you to see her this way the poor little love. Hope she feels more comfortable soon. Give her a big kiss from me :luv: :luv: :luv:

I've used lactulose (from the chemist) for any that are slightly constipated after an op - in an emergency when I haven't had any and its the weekend I've given them some milk, which always does the drink.

Oh poor little girl - you feel sooo helpless don't you :'(  I haven't really anything to add other than what's already been said...  but as suggested it can take a couple or three days for them to go to the toilet - just feed little and often with a good dash of olive oil; when Saffy eventually did go and it was close to four days  ph34r it wasn't hard for her to do so...

We are sending hugs to Bella  :luv: :luv:  and hope that you feel better soon

Oh I do feel for Bella and you.  When Lola was spayed she had to have the most gi-normous lampshade as she could still lick her wound  :-\

Try arnica cream on the sore spots where she is scratching, it helped Lola.

And it was a good few days before our Lola returned to us.

It's horrible to see them like this, but she will get better.

Thank you for thinking of her! She was still a little quiet still this morning but moving much more freely and clearly resigned to the fact that the collar isn't coming off!

The combination of milk, oil, fish and veg has worked a treat today and things are moving much more comfortably in the bowel department!

She is a different dog this evening! We've just been out for a 10-15 minute walk - the tail was wagging happily the whole way and she kind of looked at me as I opened the front door as if to say 'is that all?'!

I can see that by tomorrow the problem isn't going to be us feeling sorry for her, but more about keeping her from overdoing things!!  ::)

What is the maximum she should be out walking for? (on lead, of course...)

Thanks for all your support and kind words.

We didn't time Lola's walk, just gentle lead walking, prob. three four times a day but for a very short period of time.  It was really so she had a change of scenery  :D
