Well we have been.
Bad news is we are back to where we were at the start.
Paisley has the same 3 infections we started off with.
I didn't see the point of them putting him out again he has had about 7 GA,s in the past 6 months.
I've asked them to do the OP full ear canal removal as we can't keep putting him through this, he is in terrible pain.
They have told me it is a very nasty OP and the things that can go wrong could be . left with facial paralysis [Bells Palsy]
Which may be pemanent. Or there is a small vein that can sometimes be caught which is very difficult to stop bleeding.
He will have the op done with Laser and will be on a Morphine drip. But hopefully when this heals he will have no more problems.
I feel now that we have no choice he can't go on as he is. They gave me a bottle of Metacam to try and help with his pain before he has the op.
He is booked in for the 23rd September

I'm dreading it and hope he doesn't suffer to much. He may have to stay overnight if they are not happy with him.
The bugbear is the cost of this OP it is going to be at least 1300 pounds. We have already spent over and above this amount trying to get him right, to no avail.
NESSR have picked up these Bills and it's not fair on them to have to keep throwing money at something that is not working.
They also have a couple of other dogs with long term problems so we are desperately trying to raise funds to help all these dogs.
They are going to have a online auction and have plenty of springery stuff but no cocker stuff. If anybody has anything they could donate to NESSR we would be very grateful.
They hold a fun weekend every year where they can raise quite a bit of money, but sadly this year it wash out with bad weather.
So funds are short and we need all the help we can get. They are having a mini one 19th-20th september at Druridge bay Northumberland, Sounds like a great day out with displays stalls and whatnot. so if anyone is in that area please go along and support them. Things for raffles and tombolas, boot sales will be
gratefully received. Donations can also be given through paypal on Nessrs website for anybody who would like to.
So for now we can only try to keep Paisley comfortable until he has this OP. Fingers crossed it all goes well.
Many many thanks go to Cynthia from NESSR for all she has done for Paisley and the other dogs. I'm sure many Rescues would not have given us this support, [out of site out of mind] Paisley and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts
