Season - should I be worried?

Daisy has just finished the third week of her season and is fine in herself. For the past couple of days the blood ....which is hardly anything now, just small marks when she sits on floor, is more of a browny red.

A friends daughter has just lost her bitch from eclampsia and I got my dog book out to read about it.  Whilst reading had a look to see if I could find out about the colour of the blood and it seems it should become lighter, which I am sure is what happened last time  ..my memory is so bad     Of course now I am becoming a bit paranoid and am googling and worried it might be Pyometra 

Am I worrying unnecessarily or should I take her to the vet?

Sorry, I can't much help....
But when a woman has her "monthlys" it usually goes browny red towards the end, purely as it's just old blood?
I really haven't taken any notice when Smartie has had her season, but I'm sure it'll not be long before someone who knows much more than me will be along to put your mind at ease!

I know thats what I was thinking yesterday, but on reading tonight am starting to worry

From what I can remember, I would say it was normal. and I wouldn't be worried 

 Could what you read have meant that the flow would get lighter (as opposed to heavier) not the colour IYSWIM

Sounds fine to me. Pip's will always go browny before disappearing. I'm sure if it was anything more serious Daisy would be off her food etc. and definately noticably unwell. So hard not to worry about them when they can't tell you how they feel

yep, that sounds normal to me, unless she gets a discharge or seems unwell i wouldnt worry
