need to change his food

i think i need to change Bobs food again we have had Hills science plan and James well beloved
i have been looking at Royal Canine as they do a food made for Cocker's its number 25
anyone have this or have an opinion on it
i am also looking at Barking Heads tender loving care anyone had this or have an opinion

or what do you feed your dog on

When I got my two, the breeder had fed them on something called Masters Premium (for working dogs).  I continued with this for a while but as it isn't widely sold I changed to Arden Grange chicken and rice adult.  They have been on this now with no problems at all.  Their poo is firm and their coats are shiny.  They have lots of energy and it suits them.
When other COLers have recommended other diets, I have been tempted but as they are doing so well on AG I don't feel the need to change.
AG is widely available so you can shop around and get the best deal.
P.S. any news on little Hugo?

Hi i will have a look at Arden Grange it is his poo i am not happy with as it is not very firm

as for Hugo
I had him for a week and then one of the boys that works with me said his Mum would have him with a view to taking him on full time as she had not long lost her dog, so this is what happened they singed him off with the kennel and he was now there’s.
But only after about a week I found out they had given him back, as they could not cope with him,
Penny b found him a place in the rescue centre she is involved with
But it was in Cardiff and Hugo was in Essex, so I asked for help
And   Rebecca ( Col   rwasinski) said if I could get him to
Epsom, Surrey along the M4 she would be able to get him the rest of the way for me.
So that is what happened, I did take 2 dogs as at the kennel where Hugo was had an other dog with the same kind of problems, a bit younger than Hugo, but from the same breeder her name was Lucy ( Golden)
Penny keeps me updated bless her, Lucy has found herself a home with one of the dog trust managers and has been spayed, Hugo is still in rescue but Penny tells me she take him out for lots of walk with her friend he has even been swimming, hopefully he will find a new home very soon.

Ours are fed AG too...it does seem to really suit them & their poops are good.

I tried Barking Heads lamb variety when I was taking my lot off AG, I thought it was excellent although I decided to go with Healthy Paws in the end as the dogs were a bit keener on eating it.

We're trialling Healthy Paws here too they both love it (but they both love anything edible so that's no surprise ) but any new food here is dependant on if Normy can tolerate it as she has allergy issues - Dave seems to be fine on anything so if she doesn't show any symptoms we'll stick with it.

Hi  We have been using Barking Heads for nearly a year. They have the chicken and rice and lamb and rice alright on both.  Firm poos  Dylan seems better on it as he used to have loose poos.    Coats in good condition no dryness. They were previously fed Burns but both lost weight on it especially Jessie as you know she is only a little dot anyway.

is there are not many places to get it from you can get it on line i know but i like to be able to go to a shop an d get it

Barking Heads I'm not sure but Healthy Paws is 150-250g per day for dogs from 10-20kg.

It's worth calling up all the places they have on their website before you go out to them as they list them even if they have only ever had one order and no longer stock them. I had this problem with Healthy Paws recently as my two are fed on it and the supplier to all the places local to me has done a runner so no one is stocking it anymore, luckily I have a lovely pet shop owner who orders it in for me as and when I need it at the same price as buying direct from HP, so I don't have to pay P&P. Could be worth asking your local petshop if they would order it for you.

Baja has had lots of issues since his giardia and Healthy Paws seems to suit him really well, the low fat limited ingredients in it makes it easy for him to digest and gives perfect poo's to pick up, which is a big bonus
