Itchy/Irritated Feet

We have just got back from a walk, and both my dogs are itching there feet like crazy, I have bathed them, and this doesnt seem to have taken it away, so we are just off to the vets now, to see if they can spot anything.

Having spoken to a friend, I have just found out that a car ended up in the river where we walk, so am guessing possibly it could be something to do with that, either battery acid or a chemical used by the fire brigade, as apparently the car burst into flames.

The vet told me to keep there feet submerged in water, so they are both in the bath as we speak.

Will let you know what the vet says, on my return.

I hope they got on ok at the vet Jenny, that's a bit scary about a car ending up in the river

Well vet had a good look at their paws and Harley has signs of imflamation, but Mayhem seem ok.

The vet said I did the right thing putting them in the bath as it has diluted whatever was the irritant.

Got to keep an eye on Harleys pads, incase of any blistering, but apart from that he did not feel it necessary to give them any medication, (also he knows my thoughts on this !!).

So looks like our river walk is out of bounds for a few weeks.
