Registering & Activating New Memberships

Usernames:
Remember to choose something appropriate for a friendly community forum. First names are often chosen but if already taken, you can usually add an initial for your surname or use asterisks to distinguish your  name from others with the same name. If you're a breeder, please don't use your kennel name (affix) as this isn't allowed under the forum Terms & Conditions. Also don't use the name of your club or rescue organisation as we prefer members to post as individuals rather than as organisations.

Passwords:
Try to choose a password which is different to your username and which cannot easily be guessed by others. This will help to maintain the security of your account

Registering & Activating your Membership:
When you register to become a member of Cockers Online, you will need to provide a valid email address. The system will automatically send you an email after you register, and you must follow the instructions in the email to "validate" your forum registration. This is to ensure you are a real person and prevents computer-generated spam on the forum  Unfortunately, sometimes spam filters prevent the automatic validation email from reaching new members trying to join. If you don't receive your validation email within 24 hours of registering, check your email spam or bulk mail folder as you might find it there. If you still cannot find it, email jane@cockersonline.co.uk or info@cockersonline.co.uk so that we can manually activate your membership for you.
