Lizzie and the frog - spawn
« on: February 18, 2010, 05:01:48 PM »
Just when I thought frogs would be off the menu after the other day, I looked out the window first thing this morning, and an army of frogs were marching across the lawn, obviously enjoying the heavy rain we had just had. I half expected them to be waving banners saying " frog swallower". Well, out Lizzie went, after I hoped they had all moved on, but no. There was one straggler. she got it,but only played with it for a while and I managed to get it back into the pond. Think her lesson was learned from the digestion process of Tuesday. But, next thing I see is her pawing at a plastic tub full of water. Guess what? Full of frog spawn. With images of a large pile of jelly in my kitchen, I hastily moved it to the front garden where I hope they will have a bit of peace. I just about could stomach the picking up of small bones and remnants of the poor frog, but somehow mopping up dotted jelly is beyond it!!
