Well it was pretty much as I expected at the vet, she's lost another 300g and he's not happy with her at all. She should have responded by now and basically if it was going to happen it would have done. He has given me a different antibiotic to try and I'm now to give her the 6 daily Pred tablets in one dose as apparently some vets believe that this can make them more effective but I have a feeling we're scraping the barrel now, the vet is very worried about her. She has to go back again next Friday, with her condition as it is he won't leave her 2 weeks without seeing her but if there is no change in her by next week or she's lost more weight then I'm going to have to make a decision as to how long I'm going to let this continue :-\  This whole thing is just unbelievable, I knew she wasn't responding because I'm seeing her every day but I'm just shellshocked about the whole thing.

Aw hun I am devastated for you, I had been hoping that there had been some improvement but that as you were with her everyday it wasn't noticeable to you but that the vets would see it.  I am here if there is anything I can do to help and have everything crossed that Princess Tilly improves before next weeks appointment and that awful decision isnt required for a long long time.  Am thinking of you xxx

Awww Nicola, lots and lots of hugs from me. I'm so sorry it's not better news from the vets  :'(

I've got everything crossed that the new anti-b's and the different dosage recommendation will do the trick and get Tills on the mend  :-*  :luv:

Nic, my heart is breaking for you.. I can't believe how suddenly she's become so bad. So wish there was something I could do. I don't suppose there are any other options like drip feeding or anything? I know it's about quality of life but I'm just shocked there are no other options with this disease..

Poor Tilly. it's so unfair on both of you... I'm still hoping madly for some positive change and a bit of good news for you both. :-* :-* :-* :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug:
