Burns does not contain Beet pulp ;)

I know some varieties have beet pulp in them - what variety are you referring to?  :D

for a start Burns Active, high energy lamb and Extra contain beet pulp....

I do know that Burns High Oats does not contain sugar beet

Dennis did loose weight with it - he was a kg overweight when I started feeding it and he only has a quarter kg to go now to get to breed standard.  It was easier to portion control the Healthy paws as I could give him less than the recommended amount on the packet yet he is still satisfied he is getting enough food - it didn't look like I was starving him looking into the amount in the bowl.  Before Healthy paws I tried the Eubekanuba light and when I reduced the portion his bowl appeared empty.

When he gets to his ideal weight I will feed him the amount recommended on the packet for his weight.

Like your GR, Dennis also had hot spots which he liked and chewed until they were red and sore, he doesn't do this now.

I was just looking at my bag of Burns food,if it does contain beet pulp does it state "beet pulp" as the actual ingredient or is listed under something else, hope that made sense........

The few Burns flavours i have looked at do not list "beet pulp"  :dunno:
People laugh at me because I'm different, but I laugh at them because they are all the same.

Nor the chicken and brown rice, duck or fish and rice  :dunno:,therefore i think Burns is quite favourable as it seems there are more flavours without Beet pulp than with,i like to give Ruby a good variety in flavour so some of the other brands fall a bit short for me.  ;)

that's why I said 'some' flavours  :lol2:

Mr Burns has openly said he doesn't believe beet pulp is responsible for any problems (but doesn't admit it's just a cheap filler) - his brother (Robbie's) feels completely the opposite.  I'm not sure why he feels that putting beet pulp in some of his varieties improves them, seems pointless to me.

If Burns suits your dog that's brilliant - means you can feed them more treats as it takes a lot of Burns to make 'em fat  :lol2:
