20-03-10 Marcey is an ex-breeding cocker spaniel who is about 3 years old. She is quite small for a cocker and is very quiet and timid like most ex-breeding dogs. Marcey will need to go to another home with a dog companion where she can be taught all about living in a house, walking on a lead and house training etc.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home ex-breeding dogs where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company.  They get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up.

This dog is at the main rescue centre in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING THIS DOG:
Please read our adoption procedures before applying and complete the Adoption Form. You will be contacted within 24 hours. If successful you will be home checked and you and all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the new dog. All our dogs are micro-chipped, inoculated and spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If you are adopting a puppy you will need to provide details of training classes in your area. We ask for a minimum adoption fee of £160 for dogs at the centre.

Poor Marcey, she has a very sad little face that has seen too much unhappiness in her life. hope she doesn't have to wait too long for her forever home.  :'(

 :luv: :luv: :luv:  is on foster with me!  She arrived this evening and you can't help but love her.

She is so cute but very timid bless her.  She thinks if she doesn't look at you you can't see her and when you pick her up she burrows her head into you.  :'(    She needs lots of love and deserves it.  Will get some photos tomorrow.

We have only been fostering Marcey 1 week now but she has already gained a lot of confidence  :luv:

Housetraining is coming along fine - still having a few accidents but clean overnight.  She is underweight and thin (can clearly see her spine and ribs  :o) but loves her food so she will soon put the weight on.  Is great with the other dogs and definately needs to live with one for confidence. Is good with children of all ages.  Takes treats gently. Has a habit of chewing things that are left lying  :005:.  She doesn't like going walks yet - still too nervous of going out on a lead or harness but that will come.

She is so lovely.  If only it was just up to me .....

I love her front legs, they look like they have black wellies on.

Marcey is just beautiful  :luv: I am sooo pleased to hear she is doing well, there is something about her that seems to pull my heart strings even more than the rest of them  :luv:

Marcey has went to her new home today.  :dance04:

Her new dad left at 4 am this morning to collect her as they live down London way.  She has a gorgeous big brother who is an orange roan cocker and will be spoiled and loved loads! :luv:
