Molly has a swollen gum
« on: June 05, 2010, 08:46:54 PM »
I think it may be an absess but can't be sure, she is eating fine and isn't in any distress.
The tooth looks a bit black. Does anybody have any advice on treating it?

Looks like a trip to the vet I think. If she has an abscess she'll probably need antibiotics to clear it and if the tooth is rotten it may need to be removed. Best to have it checked out :D

Hi All,

After antibiotics, there seems to be no improvement to Molly's abscess?

The vet as suggested they take a biopsy and possible x-ray. The swelling
has increased in size and seems to be going a black colour inside.

Has anyone been through a similar experience with their dog pls?

She is fine within herself and is still eating, to be honest, doesn't
seem to bother her one bit.

Many thanks

any advice would be great!

Bianca
