Continuously sneezing. Any ideas?
« on: August 09, 2011, 08:50:01 AM »
Hi everyone.

Got back from holiday recently, and so the dogs have had their usual visit to kennels.

This week I have noticed that all three of them have started this snuffly type of sneezing.  There is no cough, and they do not appear to be unwell (eating as normal, and running about like mad things on their walks).

Have you had any experience of this.  Is it a vet visit???  Or is there something else I can do.

I gave them Manuka honey all day yesterday, and this morning.  :luv:

Diesl has the odd sneeze now and again but not constant sneezing
I would have thought kennel cough but if there no cough probably less likely - other owners have said that there is a lot pollen etcx in the air so mabey just something like that ?
Sorry im not very good at advising :( Hope they feel better soon  :luv:

Oh that it great.  I would love it if we could avoid the kennels.  We have two kids, but none of them are real dog lovers, and are out all day at work.

We restrict ourselves to going away for no more than one week at a time.................because we care so much about our dogs and their health and welfare.  It breaks my heart when they get ill, and of course I blame myself for leaving them.

Off to the vet this evening.  Hopefully he'll have some magic potion.  :luv:

Wow sounds like a fantastic itinerary ahead of you Chris.  Enjoy!!!

We can't really ask friends to care for ours, as we have 3.  But a friend who lives in Manchester has just offered to come and stay in our home in Yorkshire (as a kind of holiday) the next time we go away.  Gonna take her up on that.  :luv:

Me and the OH are very lucky as our parents on both sides have no grandchildren yet (oldest child is 27 yr old and youngest 23yr old) They are all desperate for grandchildren. When we got Diesel he is seen as the 'Grand Puppy' and they all want to see him or look after him :) So we have no issues with someone to look after him if needed however as he is still young and stioll learning etc - we wont be going on holiday til he is over a year old. Although i hear horror stories about them going to parents houses and coming back spoilt.
So not looking forward to going on hol next year lol :P

Lots of good places nearer to the showground Chris, but be sure to book early.  There is never availability when the show is on.
