Just wanted to say hello as I am new to these forums although have been lurking for a bit.
Our cocker spaniel pup is now just over 7 months old and she is great fun!
Have mastered several commands already and is very quick to learn (too quick sometimes
). Have done a local puppy class a few months back which we enjoyed but not been so good going along to the next level since then - hoping to get back into it next week.
Does anyone here do agility with their cockers? The local dog club where we are doing obedience training do this and we are thinking or trying this once she is old enough (I think 1 year to start training) as she loves to race along the beach with her ears flapping! We've got a big enough garden to set up some jumps etc as well so will be able to practise at home. I used to go to the agricultural shows with my dad and our cows and used to love watching the dog agility on the final day as they used the rings just outside the cattle shed.
