cockers and the snow...
« on: February 04, 2012, 07:28:45 PM »
It started snowing in Birmingham this afternoon just after 2 pm and by 5.30 there was a nice coat on the floor. Someone got very excited and so we went walkies. Poppy just went crazy!  :happydance: She just loves snow so much, it's amazing... what about your little furry babies?

It is Max's first experience of snow and I am having trouble keeping him inside. He keeps going to the back door asking to be let out!!
Lovely to watch him having so much fun. Rather him than me!

Erin loves the snow....chases and catches snowballs...does her own version of making a snow angel by rolling about on her back and collecting snowballs on her ears  :005: Tilly unfortunately is only 15 weeks old and not experienced the snow as yet.

We went out and she was sniffing it and sneezing.... she then tried to eat it, we threw it and she was chasing it and then was digging in it, so entertaining to watch.... cant wait to take her out again tmw  :D Camera to the ready....

So would Jeff, and he has perfected the art of looking in the other direction when I try to get him in (being deaf, he has to look at me for me to be able to "call" him)  >:D

Yep another 3 here who would quite happily stay out ALL night given half the chance! :005:

Something seems to click inside and they just go into complete crazy mode!

Funny to watch them all play fighting in it!!

My three love it................the boys go running like crazy, and then have to stop due to the snow balls all over their legs and fur.

I love it too, but I hate the job of getting them free of the snow when we get back.  :luv: :luv:

I trimmed up Tali's feet and lower legs in anticipation and today he wore his Hurta out in the snow and what a difference it makes. No huge ice balls.

He loves the snow but I am mindful of the fact he had a poorly eye in November 2010 when all that snow came.

He's been very sleepy these last couple of days. He is eating and drinking well and totally made outside but well I'll post in Health about that.

What is Hurta Mel?  Is it some kind of coat for them?
Mine have the usual coats that cover their skirting beneath..........so it saves them being iced up there, but their legs get covered in small icy snowballs. xx

Freya became a huge iceball this morning as I was not with it enough to put on her equafleece--however the idea (supplied by ?Pudding- Bobs parents) of using vaseline worked a treat and she came back in with very few iceballs and even then they came off quickly in a towel rub...phew  :005:
