Moulting

I have noticed over the last couple of days that Max is moulting a lot. I am finding this worrying as he had Fox Mange at 4 months and lost masses of his hair and looked awful. He is 7 1/2 months and I just wondered if they possibly start loosing hair at this age, or could it be anything to do with the weather??

Am hoping there is an explanation for it, and he has not got mange again!!

no help here but i am sure someone will be able to give you some advice...
i just want to ask how you know he had fox mange.... and what the symptoms are
i am asking as i have lots of foxes at my work that i feed.. and just lately Bob has been scratching
he is flea on a reg bases.. i did think it could be the shampoo at his new groomer, so i have washed him
but he is still scratching... sorry if i am hijacking your post

Ollie has started to moult over this last week, put it down to the temperature in the house at the moment.

Hi Pudding, The symptoms Max had with the mange was scratching but also the hair loss. I first noticed litle clumps of curly ear hair on the floor. But it got worse and he lost all of the hair on his back and ears 

If you are using a treatment such as advocate or stronghold on Bob it is unlikely he would get mange as it is supposed to protect against it. Max caught it as he was only just starting on these treatments. Having said that the Advocate did not work for Max.

Hope you manage to work out what could be causing the itching as its not nice for them or for us to see them doing it!
