Nail clipping

I don't think the groomer ive been using is cutting Darcey's nails properly. Last time I went she said they didn't really need doing but there really long. I'd done them if I wasn't so scared. Her previous owner just left her in the garden so her nails never got worn down and there about 2 cm long now! I know that to get them back to proper length they'll need doing every few weeks to get the wick to recede but she's not offered this advice or anything and her nails are really sharpe. I'm thinking that going somewhere else is a good idea. What would you do. Am I being paranoid that her nails are overly long?

You could try your vet. At the practice I go to they charge a small fee for nail clipping rather than a full consultation fee.

I don't think you're being paranoid about Darcey's nails. When my first Cocker was very old his nails started to thicken and get long. I couldn't trim them properly myself so one of the vet nurses used to do them, but I had to monitor when they needed doing or he would start walking badly.

My vets charged me £8 something for the nurse to clip one nail.  Just one nail.
