Our Charlie black/white working cocker has a top knot.  Just like a gremlin.

Our Pebbles, show type, has one.  Only started growing at about 8/9 months.  She was trimmed yesterday and I, actually, asked for it to be thinned out but not taken off completely as dd calls it her kisscurl and would be devastated if it wasn't there  :D

Both my show types (chocolate and orange roan) have top knots. The choccy boys grows wild when he hasn't been clipped in a while!

I have to admit I prefer Tilly when th top of her head s all sleek and smooth, but my daughter likes the top not so we've compromised and it's just a 1" tuft!

OH and I have also compromised over Charlies, I love it he hates it, so as with Tilly its a small tuft.

Our Charlie is a liver working cocker and has a topknot which turns into a beautiful golden/red streaked mane when bleached by the sun in the summer (when we get a summer!).

Charlie my B&W boy doesn't have one, his head is smooth.

Dexter my blue roan has a sort of side top knot going on above his ears, it gets trimmed at the groomer but when it grows out it makes him look like a mad professor  :005:

Rolo, our chocolate working cocker pup is only 7 weeks old and still with the breeder at the moment but you can already see that he has a lighter patch of hair on the top of his head. I think this is where his top knot is going to grow. His mum has a huge one! :005: He he i think its cute but my OH doesn't like it!

did someone say photos of topknots ....  :shades:
Toby's @ 10 months ....coming along very nicely & definitely getting lighter, bleached by the sun  :luv:

I couldn't say the girls have 'topknots' though - if Livies get's too long it just goes into a parting  ph34r & Purdey & Tinkers fur just grows en-mass, with no specific tuft on top  :dunno:   ;)
If your dog thinks you're the best.....don't seek a second opinion!!

If you want to post photos please start a thread on one of the photo boards rather than on here, thanks!

Dexter has a mad top knot going on at the moment, he is a show blue roan and tan - he is getting his first trim and tidy up on Monday!  Don't want it totally cutting off just tidying up a bit!   :luv:
