Hi and welcome  :D
Just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss, they make such a huge impact on your life, the hole they leave when gone is truly enormous  :bigarmhug: There really is no right or wrong time to be thinking of another little fur baby, they will never replace the ones lost, but can help ease the pain a little and give you new things to start laughing about and new memories to build  :luv:  When you feel the time is right, thats the right time  :luv:
Enjoy the forum, really looking forward to hearing about your new baby, and also stories of little Ellie  when you feel able to share them  :luv:
xx

So sorry to hear of the loss of your little girl Ellie. I can understand you not wanting the same colour. After I lost Jess, I knew I couldn't have another black and white. We got our wee Penny Black and she is nothing like Jess, but oh so adorable and has lit up our lives again. I hope this is what your experience will be too.

I'm so sorry that you lost your girl at such a young age  :'( such a very sad loss.

I understand exactly where you're coming from about not choosing the same colour so soon, I loved my wee black Bess so much and couldn't bear to have another black one after we lost her. Our Morgan, who is now nearly 4, is orange roan and so different in so many ways. I'm sure that any cocker you choose will help heal that huge hole in your life although Ellie will always have a special place in your heart.

So sorry to hear about your loss, she was so young , i had a blue roan girl who had a spinal op the same as Sheryls girl, she was 11 when she had the op and had a good 3 years i lost her and my blue roan boy Bruno last year within 2 months of each other, we went out quite quickly and got an orange roan pup as though they can never be replaced it just gives you something to smile about again  :luv:

Firstly I'd like to send you  :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug:

It's never easy when we lose our beloved fur babies, especially one so young, and I totally understand how you feel about the colour thing as I'm pretty sure I would be the  same  ;)

I do believe you know exactly when the time is right to get another little bundle of joy and I want to wish you and your OH all the best in finding a suitable little boy/girl  :luv: :luv:

Sorry for your loss. We lost our first blue Roan boy, Monty, alsmost a year ago. The grief was so bad that within 2 weeks we had found another pup. Like you, I was concerned whether we should go for one the same or another colour. We got another blue roan boy, however the similarity moreorless stops with appearance! Milo is very different personality-wise to Monty, he is a real lap dog. I hope you find the right pup for you soon and mend the hole in your heart.
