Really upset
« on: May 28, 2012, 10:36:55 AM »
I took Archie to the groomers on saturday to get his legs thinned out as he was starting to look like a yeti.  He was so beautiful though.  Normally they are really good, only use scissors etc at my request.  Anyway, collected him and they have cut him really short all over.  He looks awful and I am so gutted.  I just want to cry.  My only relief is that at least they did not use clippers and it will eventually grow, but to say I was shocked. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I'm angry  >:( >:(

What a shock for you. I don't blame you for being upset, i would be! If you are paying for a service and have specified what you are expecting, you have due cause to be angry when they haven't followed your instructions/requests.  Have you given them some feedback?  Bingley is going to be groomed for the first time in a few weeks, and I have emphasised many many times I don't want him shearing or scissored all over! It is worrying when you hear things like this.

I think at the time I was too gutted to say anything.  I guess he will feel a bit cooler but they really did not need to cut all his feathering off.  I hope it grows back normally.

Can understand how upset you are.... happened with Mags when she was a pupster :(  As its the first time and no clippers were used I would expect it to grow back just fine  :luv:

I was in tears and gutted with the first clip/ shave Flo had, I explained when dropping her off that I wanted a proper cocker cut, and I was recommended the groomer by another cocker owner .  Flo coat grew back fine but has taken lots off management over the last 10 months to get it back to the way it should be, they shaved and gave her a cut that looked like a terrier cut >:( so all has been growing down and no adverse effects on the actual coat, Flo is spayed and her coat has grown through to be beautiful and lush .
