It could be that as your vet knows you do your research, your appointment will take longer.  She knows you will challenge her and she needs to be thorough and allow time for extra questions and answers.
A lot of people just accept what the vet says (as though they were gods  ph34r) and if this was the case, I should imagine you would be in and out.
You are not one of those people so she has allowed extra time for you.
That is how you should look at it.
I know it won't stop you worrying as that is what we do.  When I had to leave Marley at the vets last week for an xray, I actually asked if I could be allowed to stay with her whilst she was being zapped.  ph34r.  I wasn't allowed to for legal reasons they said.

Having stood for over half an hour discussing Kalis ears and her heart, it just goes to show how little can actually be said in ten minutes! Hope things are sortable, whatever it is xxx
