Willow had her second follow up specialist appointment today for her meningitis.
He is really pleased with her progress

Weve been limiting her walks etc but we can go to back to normal now without restrictions

I did explain to him that when she is out and about she is full of energy and will just keep going and going if she could but after it where she would normally have a little sleep after and be ready for more she is quite fatigued often sleeping most of the day after if she has been out for the afternoon etc. He said not to worry at this juncture but for us to keep our eye on it.
We have another two weeks of the steroid dosage as it is and then we reduce it to the same amount dosage wise but only every two days for her to have them. He said at this time they can relapse so we have to keep a close eye on her.

She has gained a fair bit of weight but he said she still has a nice shape so again not to worry at this moment, he advised we give veg to fill her which we are doing anyway.

We have to go back in another 4 weeks and ring him in the mean time if she appears unwell again once her steroid is reduced further.
I told him about her being sick and sloppy stools last weekend and he doesnt think its to do with the steroid but more likely a bug but again for us to keep an eye open for it happening again.
Please keep everything crossed for Willows transitions off the steroids and here's hoping it is not problematic.
