Flo's got bladder stones

I posted about a month ago that Flo was peeing constantly, but it stopped after 24hrs, no sign of it since except the last 24hr and then I noticed a little blood in her urine last night.
Took her to the vet straight up this morning and after an ultrasound they have confirmed she has stones and needs surgery to remove them    She will go in on monday for the
procedure.  I have searched a little on here and have found a couple of threads about bladder stones.  Any helpful advise gratefully received.

Awww Claire poor little Flo  they are painfull little blighters them stones  poppy didn't get stones but she had struvite crystals which I believe can be the start of stones, she was put on a special diet to dissolve them. After that I only gave her filtered water and that seemed to help  sorry can't be of much more help hope all goes well with the surgery  x x x

Ah Clare....poor Flo, and poor you too.  This is all you both need.

Thank you all for your thoughts, Flo doesn't seem to be in pain thank goodness.
I just want the surgery over and done with safely, so Flo can recover and get better.
Once removed the stones will be sent off for analysis so see what has caused them, so
the vet can then advise appropriate preventative measures.

I miss my little fur girl, she had her surgery today, all good she is in vet hospital overnight for recovery. Hopefully she is all fine to pick up tomorrow.  Her vet said she will need to go on a special diet to prevent anymore bladder stones..... Apparently it's rather common in dogs and certain breeds are more prone to it.... Including cockers.

Glad to hear that the surgery went well and what kind of diet is the vet suggesting? If cockers are prone to it would want to know what to avoid for Raisin just in case!
