Many Tears: Kandy 6 years old

20-09-12 Kandy is a 6 year old cocker ex breeding cocker spaniel. She does not walk on a lead and is quite scared. She is in need of that special cocker lover to give her the TLC she deserves and a home with another dog as a companion and help her to learn about lead walking, house training and living life as a pet.+

Kandy is doing really well getting used to home life and slowly showing her funny side, particulary her antics when a treat is around. She is such a sweet natured girl that so deserves a lovely new life. She has been very kindly sent a knitted jumper to snuggle up in until her coat grows back as she had to loose it all  :'(I will be doing an update For the many tears website this week so please take a look and spread the word amongst cocker lovers.

22-10-12 UPDATE
......Kandy has been with us a couple of weeks now and is starting to feel more comfortable with home life and is letting us see what a character she is. Being a cocker she loves her food and will do a dainty little tap dance when she sees a treat, which has earned her the nick name Ginger Rogers! She is clean with regular trips outside and is enjoying pottering in the garden, now that she has been kindly donated a lovely jumper to keep her warm. Kandy sleeps quietly in a crate at night and loves to sleep snuggled up tight to another dog, so will need another dog willing to be her special friend. She is great with all other dogs she has met and although unsure in the car, travels quietly in the back.
......At the moment she is still unsure about people but wants to learn. She desperately wants to be stroked and made a fuss of but doesn't quite have the courage to initiate this just yet. Lead walking is also a work in progress and at the moment we are still working on this just in the garden. Kandy is such a loving gentle sweetheart and I am sure she will be a very devoted companion once her confidence grows a little more. At the moment she would enjoy a calm house with at least one other dog to be her special friend and with someone who was willing to help her develop her confidence with life in the wider world.
