KellyT when you say Hazels attack had a lasting effect you mean she is now afraid of other dogs, was this straight away? Poor Hazel.
She now tends to approach other dogs (particularly black dogs) all 'puffed' up with her heckles, standing on her tippy toes - trying to look 'big' in my opinion. She also does a growly bark. It's almost like she's trying scare them away before they come close. However she's obviously scared because if they come towards her she turns, tucks her tail between her legs and does a half circle back to me, if she looks again and the other dog is still coming she comes back to me again. If the dog looks like it might be going away she gets 'brave' again and wuffs ...
Not with all dogs, particulary black dogs, or dogs that are bigger than she is
