At last! Odie is perfectly balanced - update re. his Addison's

As many of you know, Odie was diagnosed with Addison's Disease back in April.  Since this time, we have been constantly adjusting his medication to find the perfect balance to keep him in tip top condition.  It has been a frustrating/stressful and trying time for us all with bouts of other ailments and side effects popping up too.  Poor baby has had countless blood tests and he's never grumbled once  :angel:  I am now also having to add a teaspoon of salt into his daily diet to keep his sodium levels up, which is a bit of a pain but there isn't any salt tablet with a high enough dose to give him instead.

Well, as of this week, our vet reports that his results are now perfectly balanced AT LAST  :banana: :cool4:   

I just wanted to thank everyone who has followed his progress and enquired after him all these months, it was very much appreciated  :luv:  Lesley & Odie xx

He just needs to survive his 3 weeks in kennels from Monday as we're off to Florida so I'm really hoping it doesn't upset him again.  He's being given some steriods to counteract any stress he may have but the kennels upload videos so I can watch him via Facebook so that's something  :D   My SIL used to work there (and still boards her dogs 2/3 times a year) and she is up to date on everything and my vets are aware too.  I'll still worry like mad though  ph34r

Fantastic update to read Leslie - am soooooooo pleased for you!!!  Now, go away on holiday and enjoy it  :shades:  you've more than earnt it this year  :luv:  Odie will have everyone wrapped round his little paw in the kennel before you know it, sounds like a good one and your SIL will have it all in hand  ;)
