Having just found out about the changes with photobucket and the fact I could not access my photos without paying, due to the restrictions.
I emailed them, not reall6 expecting a response, but received this one.
Have tried it out & it works perfectly.

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, since your account has exceeded its storage limit you will need to upgrade your account to a higher storage plan in order to unlock your account.
However, you can still access your account through the mobile app and delete your contents there to free up some storage.
