I'm finding that photos embedded into posts are coming out very large indeed, so that I have to scroll around the photo to see it all. This is happening on both my iPad and laptop. Anyone else noticed this? Is it down to one hosting site in particular?
I noticed it today here, for example: http://www.cockersonline.co.uk/discuss/index.php?topic=118442.msg1701997#new

Yes, I've been having exactly the same issue.

Same here!

I've just changed this one so let me know if it's changed for you - I think new members haven't seen the recommendations re height/width/size of photos. It sounds an anal rule but it does prevent this annoyance :lol2:

Yep -those are better! Well done Helen - thanks!

Yes, thank you!

yep I have noticed too, been like it about 10 days or so, I keep pressing Ctrl and minus till I can view it, then I cant read a thing :005: but can see the pics OK

Glad someone competent has sorted them. :clapping: :005: I have noticed the big photos lately, but have totally forgotten how to change the sizes :dunno:

Same here. I had a quick look at them yesterday morning and then hoped somebody would come along who knew what they were doing :D

I've always used Photobucket, which seems to automatically post the pictures at a sensible size. I think the trick is to use the link tagged 'IMG' for forums.
Here's a direct paste of that sort of link, and an excuse to show off Henry's Christmas bow tie! It comes out as the right size automatically.

If memory serves, I was waving a bit of turkey above his head to get him to look up!

Useful tip is to alway click on "preview" before you post. It lets you see what your post will look like so if you need to re-size photos it should be apparent! ;)
