I think this threads been very interesting.  There is a vast array of prices but I think it would give a general idea of cost so if someone is offered a pup significantly lower or higher in price for unexplained/unquantified reasons it might just ring an alarm bell.

Barney cost me £550 last May.

For interest:

My Labrador cost me £400 in 2004 (subsequently discovered she's not very well bred which made me sooo much more careful with my future pups!)
My Golden Retriever cost me £550 in 2005
My American Cocker cost me £500 a few weeks ago (discounted friends rate!)

We're in the north of England.
Sam is mum to - Sapphi (working black Lab 5 1/2 yrs), Max (Golden Retriever 4 yrs) Morgan (American Cocker 2 1/2yrs) and mum in spirit to Barney (English Cocker 3 1/2 yrs now living in Scotland)

yes i think its been intresting as well the only reason we got charlie cheap was because his owner was moving but personally i think he was to much for her with 4 kids and a puppy  :005:
