:o Poor Ollie, that looks horrible. Lucky it seems to be a skin flap and easily stiched. Have you got an Equafleece? it might be more comfortable (for you!) than the cone :dunno:  :bigarmhug: to you all.

Wow! That looks quite sore.  Hope Ollie makes a speedy recovery.

Give the Council hell for their negligence.

Love,

Oh the stupid nerds for leaving a spike exposed like that  >:(  Poor baby and poor you.  Hope the little man is not too sore and feeling a bit more comfortable.  You should charge the council the vet fees.  Love to Ollie  :luv:

Geez, that looks bad.

Dogs seem to take these things in their stride though. My Poppy has been in the wars too (several times). Sore pockets each time.  :'(
Just part of being a cocker owner I think.

Good luck but I expect you will get nowhere with the council.

Oh the poor little chap, hope he feels better soon. I do hope you are going to send those photos to the council along with the cost of the vet fee and also get them to pay for the extral cost should your insurance go up next year.

Please let us know how you get on.

OMG, how terrible, I'd have been a mess if it had been Harley!  How unsafe to leave the spikes exposed.  As has already been said - it could just have easily been a child.!!

Let us know how you get on with the council.  Sending big hugs  to Ollie.

Re. the council thing - is it a council owned park? Or a private field which a footpath goes through? If the latter, then re don't really have any redress I'm afraid, unless the spikes are right next to the path in which case the landowner may bear a responsibility.

Good grief, that looks hideous!!   How awful for both you and Ollie.  Hope you all get over the shock and Ollie is back to normal again soon.

:fear2: :020: Poor poor Ollie & you too! - makes me feel a little queasy just to look at the photos, so no wonder you felt awful ....man or not  :'(
Well done you for acting so swifly & getting him to the vets to be sorted - lots of caring hugs & healing wishes for the litte man as he recuperates  :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug:

Good luck with finding who's responsible - hope you get some kind of apology but hope the railings are removed, so no other dog/animal or person should suffer the same injury  :police:
If your dog thinks you're the best.....don't seek a second opinion!!
