Just to olet you know, pet portrait artist Sally Lancaster (website HERE (http://www.sallylancaster.co.uk/)) has very kindly agreed to help out by choosing photos for the calendar.
There's also a new category for the fridge magnets - action shots. :D
The magnets will be 6x9 cm in size and here's a photo to give you an idea of what they'll look like...

I've made a slight amendment to the rules for the calendar - everyone can now enter upto 2 photos in each of the categories.

Thank you Vikki (and September and Lucy) for saying such nice things about William's picture. I'm very proud of it and think it's the best one I've taken of him, although more by luck than skill, like all of my photos.
Vikki, you're very welcome to use it. I can email you a higher resolution version of it if you want - just PM me.
There's only one thing wrong with the photo IMO - William has an eye bogey ph34r in the corner of his left eye :005:

Can I remind everyone that the layout of the calendar requires photos to be in 'landscape' format. I've noticed there are a few 'portrait' photos entered but I don't have time to pm everyone individually to let them know that these can't be considered... posts can be edited to change to a different photo though. :D

I was thinking exactly the same thing, I asked other half if we could set the xmas tree up last night so we could take a pic of Poppy in front of it for the xmas card comp lol. He looked at me like i'd gone mad! ph34r x

Helen, I've included a photo of Tinker on the fridge magnet comp. Although I think it's quite cute, if any of the mods or other colers think it in bad taste (because of her poorly eyes ph34r :'( ) then you can remove it.....we're used to it but some may find it :020: .....we'll understand ::)

Argh - there's so many great entries... I'm still trying to decide which photos to use... though I think we're just going to have to admit defeat on any Christmas card entries - we didn't get much in the way of snow here, and Honey doesn't "do" posing with props!! (Believe me we've tried!!)

I will vote for my favourite ( it will be sooo hard to choose ph34r ) but I will be proud to have any of the gorgeous furry ones on my calender/ magnets/xmas cards cos they're all soooooo stunning & epitomize everything I love about cocker spaniels :luv: :luv:

I am absolutely overwhelmed :luv: and completely in awe of all the wonderful pics of the gorgeous doglets. :luv: I can't stop looking at them everytime i log on, they are all just beautiful. :luv:
Just to add good luck to everyone, ;) and although we obviously would all like our own doglets on the calendar, christmas cards etc it will be brilliant no matter what happens :005:

I'm really upset that we seem to have a virus on the main computer and I can't access my photos, I had planned to change some of my entries and put some into the magnets but right now, not sure how terminal the computer problems is :'(
Wonderful entries already there, love Jeans, Helens and Nics and many more so will be buying at least one calendar again this year even if the gang aren't there ;)

It should be like a rectangle lying on its side. If you look at the other entries they should all be the same! I don't know which one you're referring to so I can't tell you without seeing it.

Oh well, I reckon my entry for the winter one is not right, but I can't work out how to fix it and photobucket won't let me use any editing facilities >:( Not sure about the non-seasonal one, it looked landscape format on photobucket, but not so much on the forum. Never mind, there's some stunning pics entered so far, enough to make 3 or 4 different calendars :luv:

At the risk of sounding like I think any of mine will be picked, I need to withdraw all entries as the computer problem we had, has resulted in loosing all files (photos, letters etc etc etc ) :'( :'( :'(
Although I have some low resolution pics on photobucket, I have no high resolution pics for the last 12 months. Lost all the pictures of holidays/puppy pics etc. :'(
May as well remove them now.

What Nicola said. That must be really upsetting for you Jenny. I keep meaning to back up my photos and don't get round to it...I would be heartbroken to loose them. Note to self...get on with it woman!!!!

So sorry to here this Jenny. :'( My dad who is the computer whizz here says that most hard drives are recoverable. You should ask about it at your local PC shop. I really hope you can get them back, Sarah. x

Yes I don't think computers can wipe themselves totally. Hopefully the pics will be on the hard drive somewhere. I wouldn't suggest PC world though. They generally have no idea of what they are doing (from our experience ph34r) Try yellow pages for a smaller maybe independant company.

We contacted a local person last night but he didn't hold much hope. However from a link on here, we ran a deep scan (OH up most of the night) and looks like it's recovered a number of photos, don't know what at the moment as still more software to load.
It also looks like the back up disc OK so pics like the one of Louie in the mud is OK and I found I hadn't wiped the memory stick from last weeks holiday, so all the beach pics safe. Will find out later what I have in terms of documents when word/excel reloaded.

The chosen calendar images are with the printer and he's working on the layout, once that's done he'll send me proofs - I'll wait until everything is OK on that score and then post details.
The fridge magnets are temporarily on hold I'm afraid - I'm just too busy with work at the moment to give it my full attention... but hopefully I'll have a chance in a week or two. Apologies for the delay. ph34r

Exactly what it says lol. Me and Lisa had a bit of a bun fight in the Auction over the mystery box so in the end we both won and got some lovely prizes which included a voucher for half a box ;)

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments. Whilst it hasn't gone to Maddies head (although I kept calling her my calendar girl last night) it may have gone to my head a bit and my OH who took the picture now thinks he is David Bailey!!!

Never mind, there is always next year ;) If you want to post your Christmas photo of Saartje, you can use the Photo boards further down the forum although we usually like to wait until later in the year before we start posting Christmas photos (we made an exception for the card threads :D)
