guys my heart is breaking, Ellie was killed on the road on Thursday :'(
Basically my mum was out walking Ellie and her collie in the forest and Ellie ran to the road and was knocked down, the forest is quite near to a road but not close enough that u wouldnt have noticed her going in that direction, mum wasnt keeping an eye on her and now my beautiful baby is dead, 8 months old and shes gone :'( i am completely heartbroken and i cant even bear to be near my own mum because of her stupidity, she was walking ahead not keeping an eye on her and i am so angry i cant even put it into words. when i was walking the dogs i was ALWAYS watching them and im so gutted she wasnt doing the same for my baby
just wanted to let you all know, i am devastated, she was such a beautiful animal, a lot had gone wrong in my life and she made me so happy and brought me so much joy and she was cruelly ripped from me, all because of carelessness. i'l always remember the happiness she brought to me, how funny, beautiful and kind she was and i was so lucky to have her in my life, i have a lot to thank her for and i hope she is looking down and knows i miss her and i'l always love her. rest in peace little Ellie xxxxxx

Becky - I can't imagine how you must be feeling... I just can't imagine how I would feel if Honey were taken from us so suddenly... I'm sure your Mum is feeling absolutely terrible at the minute too (though I don't blame you for feeling angry towards her at the minute...)

I am so very, very sorry to hear what has happened and cannot begin to imagine how you are feeling at the moment. Ellie clearly brought such love and joy into your life and to have lost her at such a young age is unthinkable.

I'm so sorry for your loss, she was the same age as my ruby and i would be devastated if i lost her, I can imagine the feelings you will have for your mum at the moment but her heart will be breaking to, as she will be full of guilt and pain from this tragic accident and also for the pain that she has caused you.

Thank you all for the messages, it really means a lot, I was very lucky to have Ellie and ive had so much support the past few days i dunno what i wouldve done without it, its just such a sad end to a lovely little animals life :'( just trying to get on with things atm and not dwell on it too much but that in itself is very hard

one again thank u all so much, it wil be a while before i can speak to her again, i just have to have a bit of peace now and i dont really want to be near her, i feel terribly let down by what she didnt do and most of all ive lost my best friend :'(

Give yourself some time out and then maybe you can speak to your mum about how you feel later on. She must be a dog lover too and will be feeling terrible with guilt over the hurt and sadness she has caused you but I can well understand your anger towards her, I would probably feel the same.

Becky I can't even begin to imagine how you are feeling right now, but I just wanted to send you lots of hugs and healing thoughts.
Losing a dog is bad at any time, but I imagine that when it is a tragic accident, you always question.....and ask what could have been done to prevent it.
Your mum must be feeling absolutely terrible.......I hope you will be able to forgive her some time. xx :luv:

Oh Becky, I'm sorry. It must have been such a shock for all involved. Ellie has been your best friend and I can't imagine how sad you must be feeling now. :'( :'( :'(
I can understand why you're so upset with your mum. Our parents meant to be the sensible ones looking out for us, so I can see why you're feeling so let down. I agree that it would be a double tragedy if this ruins your relationship, but it sounds like you need to give yourself some space to grieve for sweet Ellie. Perhaps now isn't the right time as your pain is so raw and you might say things you regret later. Concentrate on yourself for a while and take time to think about Ellie and how much she gave you.

oh my goodness, how devastatingly awful for you.....I hope one day the memories will be sunny but the pain minimal. I am now frightened of letting my pup off his lead and am going to get a long lead just incase.
