Tears streaming down as I read this and all the lovely comments afterwards - reminded me of how I felt when our beloved GR Cassie had to be helped to the Bridge last July.  Run free sweet Honey, and say hello to Cassie for me. :luv:

Run free at the bridge lovely girl.  It was lovely that there was some sunshine for her and that you could sit with her in the sunshine......

I took Alfie out to a local high street today because he is on lead walks and a lady stopped to talk to him.  She told me she had an elderly Jack Russell (she was quite old herself) She said she hoped that when she dies all the dogs that have gone before her will be waiting for her in heaven.
I agreed with her and we both agreed that "let's face it, how could it be heaven unless our beloved dogs were there with us too?"

I am sure you will see Honey again one day and in the meantime she is playing with all ours who have gone before her.
Penny,   Dexter (cavalier x poodle), Alfie (Whippet cross)  and  Maximus the cocker spaniel!!

RIP my 2 most gorgeous cocker girls - Buffy and Harriet - both waiting for me at the bridge. Joined by my beloved Josie taken too soon and Suki aged 13 :(

Honey was very lucky to have two people who loved her dearly with her at the end.

I have also cried reading this.

Thank you all so very much for the kind messages.  It helps so much that you all understand how hard it is.  We are still feeling sad, but this morning I was thinking of the first time I saw Honey as a gorgeous 2 year old when her mum lifted her onto the wall when they first moved in, and I found myself smiling.

Her mum was saying today what a wonderful life Honey had, and she did.  I have given her mum a copy of Rainbow Bridge and she has found it very comforting.  We know Honey is now all healthy again and is being looked after by all our other precious pets who are at the Bridge, playing in the sunshine and running in the soft grass.  It is just that we miss her so.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for being so kind and understanding.  You are all such lovely people.
