You know you love your cocker when....

Your husband has spent the day removing the lounge carpet because your elderly dog has had several 'wee accidents' on the floor. Last month he removed the hall carpet because of the same reason. We are now going to have to live on bare boards while she is still with us as no point in replacing anything. Has anyone else had to do this?

She just forgets to ask to go out so its like having a puppy again.

when our small border terrier was to old to jump up on to our bed, i used to get down on all fours and become a step. trouble was the staffs noticed and started to wait for me to get down so it was less effort for them also  :lol: I still get down for old poppy.

when they never bring the ball back but you go and fetch it and then throw it again for them.
when they drop a toy off the sofa and whine so you bend down and get it for them.

You don't get up off the sofa to get a drink/make tea/go to the toilet because you don't want to wake the sleeping cockers on your knee  :005:

Yes I do most of the above plus lying on the smallest edge of the bed whilst Seve enjoys stretching snuggles in the bed, then trying not to disturb him so end up almost hanging out!  :luv:
