Yelping In Dreams

<_< This is probably a really daft question, most of mine usually are

Indie was yelping and crying really loud whilst sleeping on the sofa this evening, her little legs were going as if she was running    Whats the best thing to do when this happens, leave them be or wake them?

My Brook used to do this - I just left him. I worried that if I woke him up, he'd have a heart attack

i like to think that he is happy chasing rabbits (though he is yet to see a rabbit?!?!) though i have heard that dogs cannot dream. Is this true?

all of the dogs we had as we grew up did this and they all lived to a good old age so i like to think he is happy while he is doing it and wouldnt wake him up. :D

xx my working cocker works very hard at being a lap dog xx

Holly dreams too, I just leave her, however if I thought she was upset (ie nightmare not nice dream) then I would stroke her to bring her out of it.

Bella definately seems to dream - they must be able to dream or all of this behaviour is very strange

We love listening to her snore (sad I know  ) and she is often heard yelping or that voice they do that sounds like they're trying to talk, she's also growled once or twice and her legs are often moving about as if she's running, bless

I tend to just make a little noise, maybe a low whistle, or gently stroke her if she's beside me - not enough to wake her but it justs seems to settle her a little bit.

One night, she was really yelping and she was downstairs in her crate, although it was quite a stong yelp is was sort of quiet, kind of under her breath, so we figured she was dreaming and didn't go down to disturb her.
